TIPSY is the debut single from a new female-fronted, 8-piece funk and soul band ALBERT TALES. The track kicks around a loose introductory brass riff before dropping into a verse that shows off the oasis at the heart of the bands sound - the lush, shimmering vocals of Keren Siri. Lyrically the song represents ‘Denial’ (as in the five stages of grief - the remaining 4 of which each make an appearance on their upcoming debut EP)which all makes more sense when you watch the VIDEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2zqNuJ-sIc - but warping this heavy subject matter about escapism and social anxiety into deceptively light-hearted soul/pop is what these guys are all about.
